The ‘words, sounds, letters’ activity is used to teach the concept of word construction. Here, the LTK asks three questions about a word.
For example, for the word ‘men’, the LTK could ask the following questions to the students:
- After displaying the word, it could ask, “how many letters do you see in the word ‘men?”
- After playing the phonic sounds in the word, it could ask, “how many sounds did you hear in the word?”
- Identify the vowel sound in the word.
LTK is one of the reading software programs that includes multi-sensory techniques such as visual, auditory and tactile-kinesthetic.
